Ha, postanowiłem, że nie będę pisał nic o dzisiejszej nadchodzącej wielkimi krokami "walce stulecia". Zamiast tego moi kochani polecam wam wspaniały western 3:10 do Yumy.

No właśnie nie chodzi mi o ów remake tylko o wersję z 1957 roku. Fabuła na pierwszy rzut oka nie jest zbyt skomplikowana - przyjeżdża złodziejaszek do miasta, łapią go i muszą odwieźć do więzienia, przy okazji stosując pewien podstęp. Nieszczęsną rolę pilnowania więźnia przyjmuje farmer Dan Evans. Nie kierują nim żadne patetyczne przesłanki. Chodzi mu tylko i wyłącznie o pieniądze. Nie wspomniałem wcześniej o jeszcze jednym aspekcie, można by rzec kłopotliwym: otóż ów złodziejaszek zwany Ben Wade ma całą swoją bandę, która nie zawaha się odbić szefa.
Za co pokochałem ten film? No cóż, otóż genialnie buduje się w nim napięcie: szczególnie gdy po dojechaniu do miasteczka, skąd mają wyruszyć tytułowym pociągiem 3:10 do Yumy by tam zostawić Wade'a, muszą na kilka godzin zostać w hoteliku. Atmosfera gęstnieje...
Zakończenie jest hmm... dość niespodziewane i dobre dla "jak film, to tylko z happy endem". I wiecie co? Ten film może się spodobać od samego początku od obrazu z napisem "Columbia" i muzyczki początkowej.
Do filmu zaangażowano świetnego Glenna Forda w roli złoczyńcy, a także Vana Heflina jako farmera - obydwoje wykonali świetną robotę! Aktorzy grające role drugoplanowe także spisali się znakomicie, że wspomnę tylko o Richardzie Jaeckelu grającym potem w "Parszywej Dwunastce".
